What you’ll learn:
This class is for total beginners and “I own a machine but it scares me” folks. We’ll get you comfortable with the basics so you can actually start sewing at home.
We’ll cover:
Parts of the machine + what they do
Winding a bobbin + threading the machine
Stitch settings (straight stitch, zigzag, stitch length/width)
Seam allowance + guiding fabric
Starting/stopping cleanly + backstitching
Basic troubleshooting (tension, skipped stitches, thread nests)
You’ll leave with:
A stitched sampler + the confidence to start simple projects.
Bring:
You can bring your own machine (optional). If you bring one, also bring the power cord/foot pedal + bobbins.
(If you don’t bring one, we’ll have machines available.)
